I feel like I'm hearing Paul Revere running through the streets yelling the "British are coming, the British are coming." Only it sounds more like, "Christmas is coming, Christmas is coming." Can you believe that we have, at least, two local radio stations that are playing Christmas music almost full time. Yes, I mean now. This has been going on since the day after Halloween, at least.
Maybe this is the cry in the streets, trying to salvage our economy. I hope they accomplish their mission, because if I hear Christmas music in September of 2009, Paul and I are going to have a talk.

When I first started to read this post I was about to say, "Do you know some stations are already playing Christmas music!?!" Don't get me wrong, I love love love Christmas music. . . but that is the trouble . . . it seems almost a sacrilege to play it so long before December!
OH I know what you are saying. Halloween day they started playing Christmas music. I HATE that. I have now sworn off the radio. Thank goodness for my iPod.
One station has actually been playing Christmas music exclusively since Oct. 1. Which is sick and wrong if you ask me! Thank goodness for XM radio. It has spared me the torture!
No WAY. Seriously? That's just ... so ... wrong. I'm so sorry.
just don't DO Christmas until 2 weeks before. It's a rule!
thanks for the comment on my blog. you're right. there is a lot of tension in the air today, so i'm glad if my post could help give some perspective.
i've seen you comment on my sister, nancy's blog, as well. did you meet her through tash?
your children are beautiful!
christmas music on election day? hm...interesting
I think I heard NSync sing "BUY, BUY, BUY!" I think that is the real Christmas message behind the music!
I love Christmas, but I refuse to decorate or listen to Christmas music until after Thanksgiving.
Oooh, I love Christmas music. I've been know to play it in July already. But I want to live in denial about how few days I have to shop, bake and decorate.
GRRRR!!!! I HATE Christmas music. Then the stores had Christmas out since before Halloween. Forget trying to find Thanksgiving decorations.
And people wonder why I don't like Christmas!
I feel the same way! On November 1 I noticed Walmart was playing Christmas songs. Can't we enjoy Thanksgiving first???
Hmm, I did a similar post the other day. Too soon for my liking at least.
