Second guessing my words

You know I have started many posts in the past couple of days, only to abandon them. Some because I can't find the right words to express how I feel. Others because, I decided they have no relevance to me or most people. Then there is the one that I think I sound whiny and well, I'm not a fan of whining when it comes to me doing it. I have way too much to be thankful for.

So, this brings me to a question. Do you have posts you start and never finish? Post you finish that you never actually post? Posts that you delete? I guess that is more than one question.

i have about 10 half-written posts most all the time. Some I go back and finish later. Some I don't. But I never delete them. They just remain in my draft section indefinitely. Because someday when I die I think even the unfinished drafts will tell my kids a little bit about who I was. Not that I plan to die soon. This is just the closest thing I have to a journal or a life history.

I'm with ya. I write posts plenty and think, "too long, too boring, too this, too that, not enough this, not enough that." Then they sit as drafts for awhile in case I decide to revisit them. Sometimes I just delete them. I think I have two sitting there as we speak.

Mine never even make it to the drawing board, all my half writtenposts are in my head.

The other night I was writing one, it was all about how I "suck". I still feel like I suck at so many things, but I am trying to not think about it. Of course it was 1 am. I think most people just suck at that time in the morning. So it will stay in my draft folder. Mostly because our kids like to read what I write, and suck just sounds terrible being said out loud by a 9 year old.

I have 13 posts in my saved file that I use if I can't think of anything to write about. Plus I try to do 5 of them on the weekend so I can just post them each moring while I'm swamped here at work.

I do have a few that I just delete cause I think, "would anyone really care?"

I'm with orangemily, too many thoughts floating around and I don't get a chance to write them down. In my mind I'm a bloomin' genius!

I delete posts that speak bad of others 24 hours after I post them. I get my "Girl you are so right" from all of you, and feel better. Then I can delete them.

Everything I've started I've posted :)

Yes, I do! All of the above! One I haven't published just recently was on a South African's take on the US election - it was humorous and poked fun with all the candidates. And then I thought maybe you guys would take offence. So I deleted it!

I have started many posts and them left them in draft form for a while. I usually come back to them and totally change the content and then post them.
Leave things you write as a draft. Blogger will save it and then you can come back to you later. At least it is out of you and you don't have to think about it.

My problem is I have posts I never get around to writting. When I do get around to writing, I don't think much about it. Sometimes it's too personal, or too boring, but I don't think about other people actually reading it. scary huh.
