What is she really saying?

This morning as we are driving down the road, the Wild Child says to me, "Mom, When you and Dad die, (the there is a long pause) I want the house and..................... Squig (the cat) and .............Penny (the dog) and........................ Bow-Legged-Lou (deceased cat) and Sabrina (deceased dog.)

What's a mom to say about all of that? I don't even know where to start. Um, the house, ya, well I think that is uh, you know I need to put together a will or a trust or something.

Kids are so matter of fact.

I love that she wants the two animals that have passed on. One of my kids once announced that no one was to ever use any of their toys even if they died. So . . . shrug. What's one to think.

Oh gosh, yes - you need to do a will with a trust or so forth. And why do they start the chatting part always in the car? I find that the best place to talk.

She's thinking... exploring the possiblities! I'm convinced The Wild One will someday be known as The Great Way by the way she sees the world!

Yeah, any "responsible" parent would have a will but we have been putting it off for forever. We do have life insurance but that is as far as I have gotten!
