To fit in or not.....

Oh this little clip made me laugh. It also made me think...... There has been way too much of that going on around here lately. It has occurred to me that I have no desire to be "normal", to fit in. I do however, want people to be comfortable around me. It's an interesting balance. Certainly not a balance I have perfected.

that is too funny. I would like to think that I would not conform but would I really? Something to think about.

I had to giggle too. Makes you wonder!

I think it depends on what you are conforming to. Some things just don't really matter. Like which way you are standing in the elevator. And sometimes conforming is for our own good if you're "non-conforming" behavior tends to be harmful/hurtful to yourself or others. For example, there are major ad campaigns out there right now to get people to stop smoking. Would it really be so terrible if we all conformed to that ideal?

Of course there are those teenagers who color their hair green and pierce every inch of their body just to scream out "I will not conform!" I don't think that taking it to that level is quite healthy, either.

Then there are times that you have to stand your ground, despite what the "crowd" is doing. And it's tough! Especially when it comes to taking a moral stand. Oh I hope I can teach my children not to conform to the world's ideas when it comes to how to dress, what "beautiful" is and how soon to start having sex! etc., etc.....

Very funny! I think I would fall for that if I were in a foreign country! I know otherwise I would ask what's up. Ha! Conforming....well, you know I don't conform to well. Someone has to be the one people talk about!

That clip is hilarious! Rich and I were laughing out loud!
I've never had a desire to fit in, just to be accepted for the crazy lady I am!

Thanks for the good laugh. It all depends on my surroundings and company I am with as well as my mood/frame of mind. ;)

Sorry I missed the video clip. It's now gone. By the way, a three year old son in Mom's purse at church can also produce amazing results. Try watching your son leading the music with a tampon from your purse while you are on the stand leading the music.
