So Sad...........

It is so sad that as this Wild Child's mother I find this completely humorous. The mix of dirt and tears somehow makes her look like a clown to me.

If you were wondering. She started crying because she wanted to take a bath instead of a shower. That was soon forgotten when she realized we would have to change the dressing on her leg. She really hates the adhesives that hold the bandages on. She's quite the hairy little thing and really hates losing the hair off her legs this way. Poor thing.
Her little leg is getting better. It is amazing to me how quickly kids heal.

She sure is cute! But yeah, she does look like a clown with the tears & dirt mixing together! Sorry about the leg injury! I'm glad she's ok!

We used to have that same fight until he went to camp and had to take a shower all by himself. Now I just tell him to go take a bath or shower and it works out well. But we have a very small house and no matter where I am, I am only 15 steps away from his bathroom since it is in the middle of our little house. He also forgets to shut the door so I get to hear everything and know exactly what is going on.

I see the humor in that too. You and I are so alike, I would have done the same thing, grabbed the camera to capture the moment. :)

The very fact that you can be laughing at a moment like that speaks volumes and you must be very on top of things. I am always so proud when I can laugh rather than either break down and cry or loose my temper when my kids are whining.

How old is Wild Child again? I taught Maybelline to shave when she was nine. I wouldn't have, but she had Snow White skin and black, thick hair and was headed to camp with a bunch of snotty rich girls (grandma sent her). So did I miss what happened to her leg?

I finally got Mimi to like showers by telling her it was like rain, but really warm and to pretend she was in the rain. Now there's all sorts of singing and dancing going on in there! Just don't give her an umbrella - that doesn't work so well. Not that I tried it. More than once.

Flea-The Wild Child is only 5. Sigh. I offered to shave her legs for her, but she wan't having it either.

Stacy- I can usually get her to take a shower, but her little heart was set on a bath. I won in the end though. To much water on her leg in a bath.

Jen- I noticed we are a lot alike, too, even down to the type of guy married. I would not survive if the RS was not a hands on dad that also did dishes. :)

Dawn- Thank you. I think she's really cute too.

Nancy- Don't let my sick sense of humor fool you. I lose it all too often.

Krista- I was wondering what was up with your umbrella. I didn't realize that was soap scum. Ha!
